I know the title sounds a little strange, you are probably thinking how could trees and hurricanes represent love. Well I was listening to this song by David Crowder Band ” How He Loves” at first I was like you thinking how exactly does a hurricane show God’s love for us. Then I really started thinking about the lyrics of the song and what they really mean. The way the song describes this is that we are the trees and a hurricane represents God. Your wondering though hurricane? God? How does it compare? Well since we are the trees we all have so called “broken and weak branches” or problems, and God as a hurricane comes through and cleans out these broken and weak branches so we can grow in our faith and show others the strength of God showing them that God can take these broken and weak branches out of our life and use our renewed strength to show His love to others by sharing what God as done for us and explain what true love really is all about not the craziness you see in movies about love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 explains love best: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
